Darryl is a graduate from  South Africa and Ontario. He practises in the areas of corporate and commercial law, private equity, natural corporate finance, resources, and alternative dispute resolution. Prior to starting his own firm, Darryl held the position as Of Counsel at two prominent Bay Street multinational firms. 

He has advised on a number of high profile mergers and acquisitions and public financings including the merger between PetroCanada and Suncor ($55bn), the IPO of Pelawan ($165m), First Uranium ($233m) amongst others. He advises family offices and private equity funds on structured investments and has advised sovereign wealth funds in the Middle East. Darryl brings his practical knowledge gained by working with public company boards and is consistently recommended as a leading international mining lawyer by Who's Who Legal. He is also the recipient of the 2022 award for excellence in mining law by Lawyer Monthly.
